Appify Announces Launch of No-Code Appify Marketplace, Plus Two Premium Apps for Field Service and Field Sales

Appify (formerly Turbo Systems), the fast-growing no-code platform for business apps, today announced the launch of the Appify Marketplace, where companies of all sizes can access, customize and deploy new apps in minutes to automate critical tasks and better serve customers across their businesses.

Appify is kicking off the launch of the Marketplace by offering two premium Apps to help transform the experience of mobile field workers. With Appify Field Service and Appify Field Sales premium apps, companies can deploy apps to help their field teams manage work orders, assets, inventory, quotes, customer and contact information; or to generate project bids from wherever they’re engaging with customers or prospects, in minutes.

These latest enhancements to the Appify suite have allowed mid-market businesses like Modesto Irrigation District to increase efficiency significantly as crews can handle more jobs through better visibility. Partners Tech Services, ATM servicing for Diebold and other ATM manufacturers, saw similar advantages from moving their paper-based process to Appify, each field worker has gotten back at least an hour per day in efficiency gains when using the Appify Field Service app.

GDT Repair, a family-owned business that helps restaurants keep their equipment running and whose clients include big-name restaurant chains like Applebee’s, Panera Bread and Tim Hortons now uses Appify Field Service to cut back hours typically spent on manual paperwork. In addition, the app allows them to reduce its time to deliver invoices from 15 days to five minutes leading to increased cash flow for the business.

Apple Pay Landing Page Goes Live on Apple’s Mexico Website, Suggesting Imminent Launch

Apple added an Apple Pay landing page to its regional Mexico website late on Tuesday, indicating the mobile payment system could launch in the country imminently.


Way back in March there were suggestions that Apple Pay could be coming to Mexico, after reports that some iPhone users in the country had been able to add their Banregio cards to the Wallet app, with only the verification process failing.

Cards from banks other than Banregio were not able to be added to the Wallet app on the ‌‌iPhone‌‌, suggesting ‌‌Apple Pay‌‌ in Mexico could be limited to Banregio at launch.

That’s still uncertain, since the ‌Apple Pay‌ page on Apple’s Mexican website offers no launch date and doesn’t list any banks that will integrate with the service. All it says is ‌Apple Pay‌ will be compatible with “credit and debit cards of the most important payment networks, issued by various banks,” which sounds a lot like Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.

When ‌‌Apple Pay‌‌ launches in Mexico, it will be the second country in Latin America to support the payments service. Apple launched ‌‌Apple Pay‌‌ in Brazil in 2018, but has not expanded it to other Latin America countries. ‌‌Apple Pay‌‌ has also been available in the United States and Canada for years.

Apple iPhone 12 to launch without wired earbuds, wall charger in box

Apple will no longer include its wired EarPod headphones in the box with its new iPhones, starting with the iPhone 12.

The company is also removing the wall charger from the iPhone’s box. Apple will include a USB-C to Lightning cable, however, which can be plugged into a computer or adapter for charging.

Apple executive Lisa Jackson announced the change Tuesday afternoon after announcing its new smartphone lineup. “It’s like removing 450,000 cars from the road per year,” she said.

The move will allow Apple to create smaller, more sustainable iPhone packaging.

It’s a major change from Apple’s history of including wired headphones with its wireless devices, going back to the iPod and continuing through to 2019’s iPhone 11. Even when Apple dropped the headphone jack from its flagship phones in 2016, the company continued including a version of its wired EarPods in the box with a lightning plug.

Those headphones won’t come in the box with this year’s iPhone, nor will a wall charger.

Apple said all four new iPhone models in the United States will support millimeter wave 5G, the fastest variant of the technology, as well as lower-frequency bands. Some rival Android devices support only the lower-frequency versions of 5G.

Nearly all of Apple’s rivals, including Samsung Electronics Co Ltd, have 5G models on store shelves already. The iPhone maker’s announcement is likely to bring fresh attention to the technology, even if U.S. carriers are still years away from rolling out the fastest versions.
